Sungai Buloh cops dispose of RM10mil worth of case items after obtaining court order


SUNGAI BULOH: A total of 138,650 case items, including seized computers, cigarettes and alcoholic beverages worth almost RM10mil were disposed of on Friday (Aug 30).

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said the case items were disposed of following an order by the court.

"The case items were from 214 investigation papers since 2019.

"It consists of various items, including 136,427 cartons of cigarettes and 1,093 gambling machines," he told reporters after the disposal of case items ceremony at Sungai Buloh district police headquarters on Friday.

Supt Mohd Hafiz said the police also disposed of 660 bottles and tins of alcoholic beverages as well as 81 pieces of forged cash.

"All of the items being disposed of were from various operations conducted by Sungai Buloh police.

"All of the items are being disposed of following set procedures," he said.

Ampong those who attended the ceremony were Selangor deputy CID chief Asst Comm Ricky Teh Mah Long and Magistrate Muhammad Shafiq Sulaiman.
