HDC appointed as Secretariat of Malaysian Halal Council


PUTRAJAYA: The Halal Industrial Park Improvement Task Committee meeting on Tuesday agreed on the appointment of Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC) as the secretariat to the committee and the Secretariat of the Malaysian Halal Council.

Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Halal Industry Development Council (MPIH), Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said it is because a holistic approach needs to be taken considering the potential and wide demand for halal products that local industry players should utilise.
