Chemical leak detected in KLIA's Southern Support Zone


SEPANG: A chemical leak has been reported at the Southern Support Zone Sepang Aircraft Engineering KLIA.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail, in a statement Thursday (July 4), said that the department was notified of the incident at 11.23am Thursday.

Six firefighters and a Hazmat team were deployed to the scene.

He added that the cause of the leak is still being identified.

At the scene, 20 people were found to be suffering from headaches.

"Six people were sent to the Air Disaster Unit (ADU), 13 to a medical centre and one was sent to the Putrajaya hospital," he said.
