Two suspects on police watchlist killed in shootout in Johor Baru


JOHOR BARU: At least two men on the wanted list have been killed during a shoot-out with the police at about 4pm here.

The duo, in their 30s and 40s, were killed during an encounter with police in the city area here. They were suspected of being involved with drugs and firearms

It is learnt that a police team was trying to arrest the duo when they started firing at the police.

At press time, the police said they would make an official statement regarding the case soon.

Social media has been abuzz with images of the main road along Taman Abad in Johor Baru being cordoned off with a heavy police presence at about 4pm.

It shows policeman with balaclavas and asault rifles.
