Masyair Op team prepared for 31,600 M’sian haj pilgrims

MECCA: The Masyair Operation team is fully prepared to welcome the arrival of Malaysian pilgrims to Arafah, Muzdalifah and Mina starting tomorrow, with support and medical services ready at the highest level.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, said all 31,600 Malaysian pilgrims are awaiting the climax of the haj, which is the wukuf (ritual of standing before God) at Arafah on Saturday.

“I appreciate Tabung Haji’s various facilities and services for our pilgrims are very systematic and meet international standards.

“Infrastructure and facilities have been upgraded to ensure movement, accommodation, and food and drink arrangements are better prepared, thus ensuring pilgrims are comfortable while performing haj, especially during wukuf.

“All this clearly shows the commitment of the government and Tabung Haji (TH), which prioritises the welfare, health and safety of our pilgrims,” he told media personnel at the TH headquarters, Bernama reported.

Mohd Na’im said the pilgrims themselves are aware of TH’s competence and skill in providing amenities and looking out for their welfare.

He provided this information when he met with them in the Abraj Al-Janadriyah Hotel, which serves as both the TH headquarters and the lodging for nearly 6,000 Malaysian pilgrims.
