CHINESE businessman Wang Xiaofei has set tongues wagging following his remarriage, just two months after causing a scene outside his ex-wife Barbie Hsu’s house in Taipei, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The 42-year-old posted a photo of his marriage certificate and announced that he had married his newest girlfriend, Mandy Ma Xiaomei, on May 27.

In one of the photographs, Ma was spotted wearing an engagement ring with a large diamond in the shape of a dove’s egg.

While many Internet users congratulated the couple, others made sarcastic comments about the marriage.

“Congratulations! Now that you have a new family, please stop bothering your ex-wife,” one netizen wrote.

Others referred to Ma as a gold digger, marrying Wang despite his past promiscuous behavior.

It was reported on March 22 that a dishevelled-looking Wang was seen trying to enter the luxury apartment compound of his ex-wife at around 8pm but was stopped by security guards.

Dressed in a crumpled brown T-shirt and appearing to have a wobble in his step, Wang claimed that he wanted to settle a score with Hsu.

He kept yelling that he wanted to meet her and was taken to the police station.

When Wang attempted to enter Hsu’s apartment once more, they escorted him back to the station.

He confronted the press and accused Hsu of drug-fuelled domestic violence.

Wang and Hsu were divorced in November 2021 after 10 years of marriage.

Many speculated that the marriage broke up due to Wang’s infidelity after he was caught frequenting the same bars as model-influencer Zhang Yingying.

While initially denying it, Wang and Zhang went public with their relationship but broke up in late 2023.

In just four months after the divorce, Hsu shocked the public by marrying Korean deejay Koo Jun-yup, whom she had dated two decades ago.

> The daily also reported that Taiwanese internet celebrity Ili Cheng was slammed after she was caught tearing down a notice claiming that she had not paid her apartment’s management fee for more than a year.

Cheng, 33, who bought the apartment on Taipei’s Xinyi Road nine years ago, was caught on CCTV tearing down the notice that she had owed more than NT$49,000 (RM7,140) in outstanding fees.

The management committee threatened to take legal action if she did not clear her debt in seven days.

It also issued another notice on May 12 urging Cheng to collect her online shopping parcels from the reception within three days or they would no longer collect them on her behalf in the future.

When contacted, Cheng’s manager responded that the celebrity was travelling for work most of the time and had neglected her administrative responsibilities.

Cheng apologised and vowed to be more disciplined in managing her daily affairs.

It was reported that Cheng, known as the “Chicken Cutlet Girl”, shot to fame when her promotional video for a fried chicken cutlet restaurant went viral in 2012.

She married a Japanese paediatrician, known only as Akira, in November 2022.
