Security guard nabbed in Johor for drug possession


ISKANDAR PUTERI: A 40-year-old security guard was arrested for drug possession during a police patrol at Bandar Selesa Jaya, here.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said the suspect was arrested at an apartment in Jalan Silat Harimau 34 on Monday (May 20).

“Inspection found a plastic packet believed to contain syabu weighing 0.35g,” he said in a statement here on Tuesday (May 21).

Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, the police also arrested a 30-year-old wanted man.

“The suspect is wanted for a cheating case in Kuantan, Pahang.

“The man was arrested on Monday at Jalan Mutiara Rini 1/2, Taman Mutiara Rini,” he added.

ACP Kumarasan added that those who have information on any criminal activities around Iskandar Puteri are urged to call the district police hotline at 07-5114486.
