PETALING JAYA: Selangor FC has launched the 'Stand With Faisal Halim'. Stop The Violence!' solidarity campaign following the acid-splashing attack on national footballer Faisal Halim.

The campaign is welcomed by all Malaysians with the hope that the national player will recover as soon as possible.

The club also called on the public to combat all forms of violence in the country's football to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.

National winger Faisal, who is also known as Mickey, suffered an acid attack on Sunday (May 5) at a shopping mall in Damansara.

Police received information from the public at 5.51pm that a national footballer was splashed with liquid believed to be acid when he was at a shopping mall in Kota Damansara.

Just days ago, his Harimau Malaya teammate Akhyar Rashid was robbed in Kuala Terengganu last week and suffered cuts and bruises.
