"He has been receiving treatment since arriving home in Malaysia after a working trip to Azerbaijan on Monday (May 6)," said a statement from the Dewan Negara President’s Office.

It also urged everyone not to speculate nor spread unverified information about Mutang's health.

"Any information will be issued by the office," it said, adding that Mutang's family also thanked everyone for their prayers and appreciated the space afforded to them.

It was reported that Mutang, who arrived home in Malaysia at 1am on Monday, received medical treatment following health issues he experienced while on the trip.
