Father nabbed for assaulting two-year-old


AMPANG: A 37-year-old man was detained for allegedly assaulting his two-year-old daughter in Taman Pinggiran Cheras here.

Apart from bruises on the child’s head and wrists, Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said there were also signs of burns on the victim.

He said the victim’s 58-year-old grandmother lodged a report on April 28.

The suspect, who was detained at his home on Wednesday, tested positive for methamphetamine and has one prior record for a narcotic offence ACP Mohd Azam said.
