KL cops nab man for molesting girlfriend's disabled sister

KUALA LUMPUR: A 38-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly molesting his girlfriend's disabled sister.

Ampang Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Nazruel Ekram Abu Saare, in a statement on Saturday (April 20), said that the victim's sister told the police that she was informed of the incident on April 14 after she had just returned home at an apartment in Bandar Baru Ampang after work.

"The 29-year-old sister, who is a person with disability (OKU) card holder, told her that she had been groped at the chest and private parts by the suspect who is also the complainant's boyfriend.

"Investigations showed that the victim had bumped into the suspect in the lift. He then invited her to spend some time outside on his motorcycle before promising to bring her back home.

"After they had returned home the suspect brought the victim to the staircase behind the lift. That was when he hugged her while also groping her chest and touching her private parts forcefully," he said.

The man, who works as a cleaner, was arrested on April 17 at around 8pm.

"Checks on his handphone showed that he also kept lewd photos and videos," he said, adding that the suspect also had four previous police records.

He has been remanded until April 21.
