Taiping OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Nasir Ismail said the police on Friday (April 12) at about 8am were alerted to a one-minute, two-second video clip on Facebook which showed the dispute.

ACP Mohamad Nasir said the incident is believed to have occurred after the man's wife and child fell from one of the rides at the fun fair.

"Following the incident, the police had requested a Facebook user named Kelvin Lim and witnesses to come forward to the nearest police station to assist in the investigation.

"The matter is being investigated under Section 323/427 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and committing mischief that caused damages," he said in a statement.
