Man drowns during family outing in Kota Tinggi


KOTA TINGGI: A family vacation ended in tragedy when a 25-year-old man drowned here.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said the man, who was camping with his family, was found dead at the Tanjung Balau beach at 11.10am on Wednesday (April 10).

“The victim and his family arrived on Tuesday (April 9) and spent one night camping here.

“At about 10.15am today, he went missing after going for a swim.

"A search and rescue operation was launched.

“The victim was later found dead near the last location he was seen,” he said in a statement, adding that the case had been classified as sudden death.
