Family of five injured, man killed in Sabah road crash


KOTA KINABALU: A 52-year-old man was killed while a family of five were injured in a crash along Jalan Manggaris in Kota Marudu district.

The 8.54am accident on Sunday (April 7) involved a sedan and a four-wheel-drive vehicle.

Sabah Fire and Rescue Department officials said that the man was pinned to his seat following the crash and was declared dead at the scene.

The injured family comprising a couple and three children - two boys and a girl, were given preliminary medical attention before they were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

The body of the deceased man was handed over to police for further action and the investigation into the case is ongoing.
