Around 10.6 million Malaysians have registered for Padu as deadline day arrives

PETALING JAYA: Some 10.6 million people have updated their personal information in the Central Database Hub (Padu) on its last day of registration on Sunday (March 31), says Rafizi Ramli.

The Economy Minister said that the government had open registration for the Padu database since Feb 2 for all to update their socio-economic data status.

"The information needs to be verified and updated to ensure that the government will be fair to the people as it will be used for targeted subsidies to those eligible groups in the future," he said in a post on Sunday (March 31).

Rafizi also thanked all parties who had registered, updated and verified their data.

"God-willing, on the last day, those who have not registered should do so quickly," he added.
