Jilted lover’s fit of rage ends in murder


CYBERJAYA: A jilted part-time model allegedly murdered her lover in a fit of rage, slashing his wrists with a sharp knife.

The woman is believed to have found out that her boyfriend was unfaithful and this led her to slashing his wrists. She then rushed him to seek medical treatment.However, despite doctors performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for at least 30 minutes, the victim was pronounced dead at the Cyberjaya Hospital.

Kuala Langat OCPD Supt Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor said police were alerted about the incident at 9.41am on Monday.

He said the victim had injuries on both wrists, believed to have been caused by a knife.

“We opened an investigation paper and arrested a 26-year-old woman on the same day.

“Checks showed the suspect is a former medical student who works as a part-time model,” he said, adding that she does not have any prior record.

“The motive is believed to be jealousy. The victim has been identified as a 26-year-old freelance photographer,” he said.

Supt Ahmad Ridhwan said the case has been classified as murder and that the suspect has been remanded for six days to assist in investigations.
