Body of unidentified local man found floating in Klang River


SUBANG JAYA: The body of a local man was found floating near a water pipe in the Klang River.

In a statement Sunday (March 10), Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said that the police were notified of the discovery at 9.01am on Saturday (March 9).

ACP Wan Azlan added that members of the public found the body near a water pipe along the Klang River, near the Bukit Tandang Muslim cemetery.

"Inspections showed that the man was local and wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans with a black belt as well as a black watch on his left hand. No identification papers were found on the body.

"Forensics police confirm that injuries to the chin and abrasions on both hands were found, as well as bruises to the left rib. No weapons were found near the scene," he said.

ACP Wan Azlan confirmed that the case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report for the time being, pending the results of a post mortem.
