Man pushes lover to death from 23rd floor


SHAH ALAM: An argument between a lorry driver and his Thai girlfriend ended up with the woman falling to her death from the 23rd floor of a condominium in Setia Alam.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the police received a report on the incident at about 10.02pm on Wednesday.

“Based on an eyewitness account, the victim and the suspect were heard arguing before she was pushed from the 23rd floor of the condominium.

“We managed to detain the 37-year-old suspect at the crime scene at about 10.10pm,” he said in a statement.

The 32-year-old woman had landed on the seventh floor of the condominium.

The suspect has a criminal record for seven prior offences and also tested positive for cannabis, said ACP Mohd Iqbal.

“The suspect will be remanded for further investigation. We are investigating under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. We urge those with information to contact investigating officer Asst Supt Muhammad Khairi Kamaruddin at 012-266 6025.”
