Govt to expand employment opportunities for elderly, ex-convicts


ALOR SETAR: The government’s move in expanding the policy of filling at least one per cent of the workforce with persons with disabilities (OKU) to also include the elderly and ex-convicts will go a long way to improve their socioeconomic status.

Managing director of Bismi Empire, Mazlina Kamarudin, welcomed the move highlighting the value of their experience to employers.
