Roxy Ixzy crowned 'Bintang RTM 2024' champion

KUALA LUMPUR: A soulful rendition of Alicia Keys’ song A Woman's Worth by Roxy Ixzy (pic) was enough to see her crowned champion on the final concert night of Bintang RTM 2024 at Seri Angkasa Auditorium, Angkasapuri here Saturday (Feb 24) night.

For her effort, Roxy Ixzy picked up a cash prize of RM78,000 and a Proton Iriz, while runner-up Dhania received RM35,000 and third-placed Hady Huv won RM20,000.

Fourth to sixth placed winners each received RM5,000 while the Most Popular Star award winner, Jon, who received 75,000 likes, won RM10,000, which were part of the prizes sponsored by NesQ Resources Sdn Bhd, DRB Hicom, Royal Chulan Hotels & Resorts dan D&D Beauty House.

Bintang RTM 2024 was hosted by Awal Ashaari dan Sissy Iman, and singers such as Roxy Ixzy, Eylia Guntabid, Dhania, Hady Huv, Feka and Joy vied for the crown in front of jury members Datuk Syafinaz Selamat, LY, Ernie Zakri and Aina Abdul.

The talent search contest made its return this year after a five-year hiatus, having begun in 1973, and introduced 14 of the best vocal performers in the country, aged 15 to 25 years old. - Bernama
