BANDAR BAHARU: An elderly man who was reported missing since Oct 4 was found dead in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Air Puteh, Serdang, near here, on Sunday (Oct 25).

Bandar Baharu OCPD Supt Mohamad Sani Mat Ali said the deceased was identified as Abdul Aziz Ali, 67, based on physical characteristics and personal belongings found at the scene.

"The body was taken to the hospital for further examination and a post-mortem to determine the cause of death,” he said in a statement.

He added that an examination of the scene found no indications of criminal activity.

"Further investigations are ongoing and the public is advised against making any speculation or spreading unverified information to avoid jeopardising the investigation,” he said.
