GEORGE TOWN: The heritage enclave here is all decked out with thousands of red lanterns strung high above the streets ahead of the Chinese New Year (CNY) festivities.

The lanterns were lit up during a ceremony yesterday and would remain until after CNY, said PGCNY Festival 2024 deputy planner Jason Ong.
