PETALING JAYA: Want to do good and be in line for top-notch entertainment by one of the world’s biggest pop stars? Here’s your chance.

By showing support for a campaign that provides meals to low-income communities, you could win a pair of VIP tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert in Singapore this March 8.

The two winners of the grand prize will also get to be part of the In My Giving Era campaign, according to a statement from RaiseTogether, a campaign manager for Malaysian charities.

On its website, RaiseTogether says those interested in participating will have to show support for at least one campaign on its website by collecting RT hearts for free by liking and following its Facebook, Instagram and TikTok accounts, aside from sharing posts on social media.

“You can also collect them by purchasing merchandise, which we sell on behalf of these charities, or even get them for free by completing actions,” it says.

The campaign will run from today to Feb 18, and the winners will be announced on Feb 23.

By completing these tasks, it will help to increase awareness and support for the causes they help, the website adds.

In a statement, RaiseTogether said 100% of the net profit from the campaign will be channelled to Hunger Hurts Malaysia meal distribution campaigns for low-income communities and families across the Klang Valley.

The two outfits are partnering to give away the concert experience with total prizes valued at RM25,000, according to the statement.

The grand prize, which offers seats right next to the stage, is valued at over RM16,000.

“Participants can score a grand prize of two VIP tickets to The Eras Tour show at Singapore’s National Stadium on March 8, with complimentary flight tickets and accommodation for a two-day, one-night stay,” it said, adding that winners will receive exclusive Taylor Swift merch.

In addition, there is a consolation prize featuring two general admission tickets to the same concert, also inclusive of flights and accommodation.

Since its inception in 2016, Hunger Hurts Malaysia has served over 10,000 beneficiaries across the Klang Valley, Seremban and Sabah.

Its ongoing “One Meal” programme, according to the statement, supports small food and beverage businesses owned by B40 individuals, which will deliver hot food to low-income families across the Klang Valley.

RaiseTogether founder and CEO Adam Khalid said it is grateful to work with charities like Hunger Hurts Malaysia.

“We hope our collective fundraising efforts can empower our charity partner to reach out to more communities in need,” he said.

RaiseTogether previously partnered with Hopes Malaysia to bring clean water to over 74 remote and rural villages in Kota Belud, Sabah.
