KOTA KINABALU: Interior Sabah-based Parti KDM has dismissed claims by blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin that it was part of the purported "Dubai Move".

Party president Datuk Peter Anthony said it had lodged a police report Tuesday (Jan 9) against the blogger for alleging that KDM was part of the plot to overthrow the government.

Anthony said KDM vice president Henry Saimpon, secretary-general Dr Gaim Lunkapis and information chief Dr Oswald Aisat Igau lodged the report with the Penampang district police.

“The claims made by Raja Petra are defamatory. I want to reiterate that KDM remains unwavering in its support for the Anwar-led unity government,” he said.

He also described Raja Petra's claims as false and seditious.

KDM has three MPs, some of whom won their seats as independents.

Anthony said Anwar's government should be allowed to continue running the country, and any attempts to overthrow it should be rejected and avoided.

He said Anwar has proven to be an effective leader, and it would be unjust to remove him from power after just one year.
