One burnt to death in van-lorry crash in Bagan Serai


IPOH: One person was burnt to death in a horrific accident involving a lorry and a van in Bagan Serai on Saturday (Dec 9).

Bagan Serai Perak Fire and Rescue Department station chief Ahmad Noor Syamsi Zainoldin said the accident happened at KM198.4 along the North-South Expressway.

Two others who sustained injuries have been sent to the hospital, he added.

“The accident occurred at 8.24am, at the north bound lane of the expressway. The van went up in flames.

“The identities of the victims have yet to be ascertained,” he said.
