Police to offer 50% on selected traffic summonses

KUALA LUMPUR: The police will be offering discounts of up to 50% for selected traffic summonses in conjunction with the Madani Government's one year anniversary programme.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Comm Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri said the discount offer will be applicable from Friday (Dec 8) until Sunday (Dec 10) in the vicinity of Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

"The discount offer is not applicable for certain traffic offences such as accidents, court cases with an arrest warrant or still on trial and for non-compoundable offences.

"Payments for the summonses can only be made at traffic summonses' check and payment counter in the vicinity of Bukit Jalil National Stadium from 9am till 4pm on Dec 8 and 9am till 6pm on Dec 9 and 10," he said in a statement on Monday (Dec 4).

Comm Mohd Azman advised the public to do early checks on summonses via the MyBayar web portal and application.

"Doing early checks can prevent long queues and ensure the smoothness in summon payments," he said.
