KOTA KINABALU: Two people escaped uninjured when the lorry they were travelling in skidded off the road and rammed into a car and a house near Tamparuli on the way to Ranau.

The two - Mohammad Kahar, 31, and Nouvelle Ian Bangkilat, 19 - were travelling along the Tamparuli - Ranau road when the accident occurred at Pekan Nabalu at around 5am on Thursday (Nov 16).

Sabah Fire and Rescue Department acting assistant director of operations Kenneth Wilfred said they received a call about the mishap at 5.03am and a team from the Tuaran fire station was sent out.

“The two victims involved in the accident were helped out of the lorry before they were handed over to medical officials at the scene for further action,” he said in a statement.

He said apart from damages to property in this incident, no one else was reported injured.

“Operations ceased at 6.29am,” said Kenneth.
