PETALING JAYA: Civil servants Grade 56 and below will receive an interim payment of RM2,000 while the government reviews the salary and allowance scheme.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in his Budget 2024 speech on Friday (Oct 13), said this includes those under contract.
He also announced RM1,000 for all those in the Jawatan Utama Sektor Awam (Jusa) grade, which includes the police, Fire and Rescue Department, Armed Forces and all uniformed personnel.
Anwar said RM1,000 will be paid to all retirees from the civil service.
