PETALING JAYA: In a bid to encourage the repayment of National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) loans, the Government is offering a 10% to 15% discount for repayments from Oct 14, 2023 till March 31, 2024.
In his Budget 2024 speech on Friday (Oct 13), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also announced an allocation of RM5mil to benefit 5,000 focus communities in 105 community colleges
RM1mil for every public university has also been allocated to intensify the Madani community empowerment programme and rehabilitation programme within the disabled community.
An initial RM20mil has also been allocated to establish an artificial intelligence study centre at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
