Stop spreading video of 'plastic rice' claims as probe is ongoing, public told


Checks on the rice stock of a supplier being carried out by officers from the Rice and Padi Regulatory Authority (KPB) following claims that "plastic rice" was being sold in a viral video.

KOTA KINABALU: The Agriculture and Food Security Ministry has urged people to stop sharing a video alleging that "plastic rice" was sold at a supermarket in Sandakan.

In giving his assurance that a full probe was under way, its Deputy Minister Chan Foong Hin said the authorities will not tolerate attempts to create public anger over national food security.
