Warisan Youth chief Ismail Ayob quits party

KOTA KINABALU: Warisan Youth chief Mohd Ismail Ayob has quit the party on Saturday (Oct 7), a year after he took over the post.

In a resignation letter addressed to Warisan secretary-general Datuk Loretto Padua, Mohd Ismail also quit as the party's Kinabatangan division leader.

In the letter made available to the media, he said he quit for personal reasons to take a break from politics and focus on his family and business.

He also thanked party leaders, including party president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, for their guidance and support during his time in the party.

Mohd Ismail took over as Warisan Youth chief from former Sepanggar MP Datuk Azis Jamman.

He contested on a Warisan ticket for the Lamag state seat against Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin in the September 2020 Sabah election but lost.
