Sungai Musah bridge in Kapit, Sarawak closed to public

KAPIT: The Sungai Musah bridge on Jalan Tekait-Musah, about 21km from Song town, has been closed to the public due to damage caused by soil erosion in the area.

The damage to the 166 metre-long bridge was detected at about 9.30pm on Thursday (Sept 21).

Katibas Assemblyman Lidam Assan, who visited the site last night, said the road was now closed to all vehicles and warning signs have been put up in the area,” he said when met on Friday (Sept 22).

He said the State Public Works Department would inspect the bridge to determine the cause of the damage and decide on the next course of action. - Bernama
