PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia's unemployment rate declined 0.1 percentage points to 3.4 per cent in June 2023 from 3.5 per cent recorded in the previous month, according to the Statistics of the Labour Force, June and second quarter 2023 released by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) on Thursday (Aug 10).
Chief Statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin (pic) said the number of unemployed persons reduced to 581,700 from 584,600 persons previously.
