KUCHING: A new nature reserve will be gazetted in Petra Jaya here as a second green lung in the city, covering a 44ha site between the Sarawak State Library and Bukit Siol, says Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

“Once it is a nature reserve, no development will take place there. It will be a green lung like the Sama Jaya Nature Reserve in Stutong,” he told reporters after launching the 35th Kuching City Day celebration at Kuching Waterfront here yesterday.
