Nancy: Allow rape victims to get medical exam first


KUCHING: Procedures related to hospital examinations for suspected rape victims need to be improved, says Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri (pic).

She said that, taking into account the traumatic situation faced by rape victims, she hoped the Health Ministry would consider granting permission for the victim to undergo an examination at the hospital without lodging a police report first.
