Lorry driver finds two corpses dumped by Melaka roadside

MELAKA: A lorry driver made the gruesome discovery of two bodies wrapped in canvas beside a road close to secondary jungle at Kampung Ujong Padang, Cheng here.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said the bodies of the two men were believed to have been dumped at the scene two to three days earlier.

He said the 35-year-old lorry driver came across the bodies at 9am on Monday (July 10).

One body was clad in jeans and a T-shirt while the other was dressed only in denim shorts.

One body was bound with cable ties and a rope, ACP Christopher added.

“Both bodies were found under piles of rubbish and their identities are as yet unknown as no identification documents were found.

"We are also checking any missing persons reports.

"We have sent the bodies for a post-mortem and are trying to get some leads on their identities,” he said.

The case is being investigated as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, he added.
