KOTA BARU: The move to continue subsidies and price control for chicken and eggs proves that the proactive measures taken by the government are to help the people, says Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

He said although the subsidies would cost RM200mil a month, it needed to be done to ensure the people’s welfare continues to be protected, especially concerning basic needs.
