Nephew and former worker of R. Sivarasa freed of graft charges


KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court here discharged and acquitted the nephew of former Sungai Buloh Member of Parliament R. Sivarasa and his former worker of three counts of corruption each in relation to the recruitment of foreign workers six years ago.

Judge Azura Alwi made the decision on Thursday (June 8) after deputy public prosecutor Noralis Mat informed the court that the representation to drop the charges submitted by R. Naveen Kularasa, 51, and Sivarasa’s former worker, Nico Kam Joo Hoe, 25, had been accepted by the Attorney General’s Chamber (AGC).
