Household Internet access rate increased to 96pc in 2022, says DoSM


KUALA LUMPUR: Households with Internet access increased to 96 per cent in 2022 compared to 94.9 per cent in 2021, says the latest report from the Department of Statistics Malaysia’s (DoSM).

In the ‘2022 ICT Use and Access by Individuals and Households Survey Report’ released on Wednesday (May 31), DoSM noted that household access to mobile phones, radios and televisions remained above 95 per cent, but the access rate to pay television broadcasts was 76.9 per cent, down from 83.2 per cent in 2021.
