‘Dedicated ministry for Sabah, Sarawak affairs unnecessary’


CREATING a dedicated ministry to oversee Sabah and Sarawak affairs is unnecessary as its functions can overlap with existing ministries, says Datuk Armizan Ali.

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Functions) said the mandate to set up the Sabah and Sarawak Affairs Division was to act as a secretariat to facilitate and address issues pertaining to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
