MELAKA: An online gambling agent and a bodyguard have been charged at the Magistrate’s Court in Ayer Keroh with the murder of a scrap metal outlet manager.The charges on Patrick Chu Chee Guan, 36, and A. Deebanahsok, 27, were read before magistrate Mazana Sinin yesterday.
According to the charge sheet, the pair are accused of murdering M. Sandrasekeran, 33, in Jalan 3/25 Taman Kenanga in Melaka Tengah district between 3.30am and 4.30am on May 9.
No bail granted: The two accused being led outside the court building in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
They were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
The court fixed June 30 for next mention for the submission of documents and for the pleas to be recorded.
No bail was granted.
It was reported on May 10 that the outlet manager was stabbed to death allegedly over a lewd remark on the size of a 26-year-old woman’s breast.
