Mothers honoured at Kota Laksamana Raya open house


MELAKA: Mother's Day came early for thousands of attendees at Kota Laksamana Hari Raya open house at Hang Tuah Hall here.

Dozens of roses were distributed by Melaka rural development, agriculture and food security deputy chairman Low Chee Leong to the guests during the event on Friday night (May 12).

"I took the opportunity to honour mothers as a sign of affection during the open house.

"This is also to express and appreciate the sacrifice of mothers in my constituency," said the Kota Laksamana assemblyman.

Melaka Yang Di-Pertua Tun Dr Mohd Ali Rustam was the guest of honour during the open house.

Melaka MCA chairman and Klebang assemblyman Datuk Lim Ban Hong was among those dignitaries who attended the event.

Mother's Day will be celebrated on Sunday (May 14).
