Two teens killed in motorcycle collision in Kota Tinggi


KOTA TINGGI: Two teenagers were killed in a motorcycle collision at Felda Air Tawar 4 here.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said that the incident involving the two motorcyclists took place at about 8.40pm on Saturday (May 6).

"One of the victims was on his way to Felda Air Tawar 5 from Felda Air Tawar 4 when he lost control of the motorcycle.

"Another motorcyclist coming from the opposite side then rammed into him as he was unable to stop his motorcycle on time.

"As a result, the two victims, who were both 17 years old, suffered serious injuries and were declared dead at the scene," he said in a statement here on Sunday (May 6).

He said that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

"Investigation is still ongoing to find the cause of the accident.

"We urge the public to always be careful when on the road and to adhere to rules and regulations," he said.
