Joyous buka puasa in Beijing with PM, fellow Malaysians, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong shared buka puasa moments with Malaysians in Beijing on his official Facebook page on Thursday (March 30).

“Such a joyous occasion when Malaysians living in China gathered for a buka puasa event with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing today.

“Many took the opportunity to take a wefie with the Prime Minister and other ministers who are part of the delegation.

“Three sharp questions were directed at the Prime Minister and they were all well answered,” the Ayer Hitam MP said in his post on Thursday evening.

Dr Wee also expressed his gratitude to the Malaysian envoy in China for organising the event as part of Anwar’s official visit in the country.

He added that some of the delicious food served were asam pedas ikan tenggiri, udang masak lemak, kerabu kerang and desserts.

Anwar is expected to meet with China’s President Xi Jinping on Friday (March 31).
