Selangor cops probing death threats against 'Mentega Terbang' cast, crew


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating the death threats made against the cast and crew of the movie Mentega Terbang.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, when contacted, confirmed that reports had been lodged.

"Yes, there were two incidents, in Kajang and in Ampang. The complainants were involved in the film.

"Investigations are being conducted under Sections 427 and 507 of the Penal Code," he said on Thursday (March 16).

On Tuesday (March 14), Bukit Aman recorded the statements of a producer and six actors from the movie.

This is after statements were recorded from the movie director Khairi Anwar and actor Arjun Thanaraju.

Police secretary Deputy Comm Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin previously said that eight police reports have been lodged over the movie.
