Anwar briefs Johor Ruler on recent working visit to Singapore


JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar consented to an audience with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the latter's official residence in Seri Perdana, Putrajaya on Saturday (Feb 4).

A statement, which was posted on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page, said His Majesty was invited by Anwar for a meeting at Seri Perdana on Saturday (Feb 4).

During the meeting, Anwar presented a briefing to Sultan Ibrahim on the former’s working visit to Singapore on Jan 30.

Bernama reported that Malaysia and Singapore have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate in personal data protection, cybersecurity and the digital economy.

The MOU was signed by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil and his Singapore counterpart Josephine Teo and witnessed by Anwar and his counterpart Lee Hsien Loong in Singapore. - Bernama
