Nabbed over drug distribution


PETALING JAYA: A man has been arrested for alleged distribution of syabu.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the 45-year-old suspect was arrested at the parking lot of a condominium in Jalan PJU8/8, Damansara Perdana, at around 5.30pm on Tuesday.

“Police were conducting crime prevention patrols when they noticed a man behaving suspiciously.

“They stopped him and conducted a check and he surrendered 51g of syabu to the personnel,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said the suspect would be remanded to assist with further investigation for drug distribution.

Meanwhile, ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said police also arrested an elderly man along Jalan PJU8/1, Damansara Perdana, for allegedly possessing ganja about two hours later, after noticing the suspect behaving suspiciously.
