Future of Malaysia outweighs political differences, says Anwar on Bersatu signing CSA

PETALING JAYA: Political differences should not stand in the way of building a better future for Malaysia, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said true political maturity requires all parties to put national interests above narrow political considerations.

"This ensures that Malaysia remains peaceful, stable and progressive while safeguarding the well-being of the people," he said in a Facebook post on Thursday (Oct 29).

This comes after Bersatu signed a confidence and supply agreement (CSA) with the Madani government to pledge its support for the Supply Bill 2027, or Budget 2027.

Anwar said the agreement serves as a foundation for strengthening political stability and ensuring continuity in governance.

He added that the agreement would also provide room for the country's development agenda, including Budget 2027, to be implemented effectively in the interests of the people.

"May this understanding serve as a basis for constructive cooperation, strengthen confidence in the democratic process and pave the way towards a better Malaysia for all," he added.
