KUALA LUMPUR: Landslides are a frequent occurrence in Malaysia and more often than not, they result in the loss of lives and cause much damage to property and infrastructure.
Some of the deadly landslides witnessed by the nation include the recent tragedy at Father’s Organic Farm in Batang Kali, Selangor, on Dec 16 which cost 31 lives and the Highland Towers disaster in Ulu Kelang here on Dec 11, 1993, that claimed 48 lives.
