Body of man retrieved from under Penang Bridge, second case in two days

GEORGE TOWN: Police have retrieved the body of a man seen floating at sea under the Penang Bridge at about noon on Wednesday (Feb 1).

The man is believed to have fallen off the bridge while travelling towards the island, marking the second similar case within two days.

Unfortunately, the victim did not survive and marine police rushed to the scene to retrieve the body.

On Tuesday (Jan 31), a 34-year-old man was rescued after he fell off the bridge and landed in the mud due to low tide.

Videos of both incidents have since gone viral on social media.
